Francisco Velasquez

Francisco Velasquez is the current Principal at Hope High School. He became principal of Hope in 2021 after serving as Assistant Principal. He is a proud graduate of Providence Public School District’s Classical High School and Nathanael Greene Middle School.

Francisco has worked in education for about 20 years. He started his educational journey, working as a teacher in the Rochester (NY) Independent School District before transitioning to teaching roles at Community Prep School in Providence.  He became Assistant Principal of Hope High School in 2019. Prior to working in the educational field, he worked in the mortgage and nonprofit industries. 

Francisco earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and his Masters of Science in Education from the University of Rochester in Rochester and his from the University of Rochester. Later, Francisco completed his Master of Educational Leadership, Pre-K - 12 Certification from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island.
